The 8th China International Auto Exhibition became witness to the unveiling of the Nissan Motors Nissan Sunny which was unfolded in the said event
. This is a global saloon model which is set to come in January 2011 in the Chinese car market and the second half of the coming year, it is also set to enter the Indian car market. The new sedan is going to be produced in the Nissan Motors Chennai manufacturing unit as it was revealed by sources of the company through a statement.
The Chinese auto market is going to know the new saloon as Sunny. The company also says that the other specifications will be declared during the launch date. Furthermore, it is also said that the Japanese car manufacturer is going to bring the sedan in almost 170 countries under the various names or brands of the automobile.
It is expected that the car is going to bear excellent fuel economy in the mid size segment and will be a favorite among the lovers of sedan. The new car is going to be well equipped with 1.5 liters of HR15DE powertrain which is sure to churn out the gret power and maximum torque.
According to the Managing Director and CEO of Nissan Motors India, Kiminobu Tokuyama, the company received and overwhelming response in the first locally made hatchback Nissan Micra. He also added that the auto company is sure that it will again spread that kind of magic through the new global saloon.
The Nissan Motors also unveiled the company's production unit at the Oragadam near Chennai hand in hand with its partner Renault through a massive investment of Rs 4, 500 crore for seven years which has been installed with a capacity of 2 lakh car units. The car maker also commenced the manufacturing of the hatchback Nissan Micra for the global as well as for the local Indian car market.
The Nissan Sunny is manufactured on Nissan V platform thus, the reliability and durability of the car is ensured. The new sedan Nissan Sunny was firstly unveiled in the Chinese auto market during the year 2003 and then claimed to the company's first car manufactured locally through a venture with Dongfeng Nissan. This saloon from the stable of Nissan is going to give a pure driving pleasure with comfort and luxury as well as excellent technology which will make Nissan Sunny a stand out from its competitors.
