No One Is Too Young For A Hearing Test

Jana's sister Lisa was what some would call, a human alarm clock

. She woke up on time for work every morning, without fail. It seemed as if her body was just accustomed to it. This particular type of behavior may not seem that impressive, because many people do it all of the time. However, Lisa was also able to somehow set her body to wake up from naps. For instance, if she decided to take a nap before an important job interview, she would wake up right on time without being late.

Jana, on the other hand, was totally dependent on her alarm clock. It didn't matter how many times she woke up for work at the same time every day. She just wasn't able to get up on her own. Knowing how much she needed to hear her alarm clock, it was a little surprising that Lisa didn't think she needed to take a hearing test.

"Jana, I really think you should come with me to take this hearing test," said Lisa. "It will be good for both of us."

"I appreciate the gesture sis, but I'm only 27," said Jana. "So, I don't really need to go through that procedure right now. Wait until I get around 50."

After trying her hardest to convince her sister to take the test Lisa finally gave up.

"Okay, if you say so," said Lisa, a little disappointed. "But don't say I didn't warn you."

"Lisa, it's really not that serious," said Jana. "I'm pretty sure there is nothing wrong with my ears."

Little did Jana know, her constant high-volume radio sessions had caused extensive damage to her ears. This caused her to have to turn the volume up even louder just to be comfortable with the sound level. This went for televisions as well. However, Jana was stubborn and she wasn't willing to listen to anyone about her issue. One day, her stubbornness began to catch up with her.

So, one day Jana decided to thoroughly clean her house. In the process of completing this task, she had left her cell phone on the kitchen table. So, she wasn't able to hear it while it was ringing. Neither was she able to hear the home phone that was right next to it. After about 3 hours had passed and she had finally finished cleaning, Jana decided to go and check her phone to see if anyone had called. She had four missed calls from her sister Lisa. After noticing there was a voicemail message, she decided to listen.

"Hi Jana, I've been trying to get in touch with you to let you know that I have 2 free tickets to go see that movie you wanted to see," said Lisa. "Call me ASAP, the movie starts in an hour."

Lisa looked at the clock and realized that she had missed her opportunity. She picked up the phone and scheduled a hearing test immediately.
