No-sweat, All-beautiful Artificial Christmas Trees For True Holiday Cheer
When September comes rolling along, we all know that Christmas is just around the corner
. We start to think of the theme for the most important holiday decoration of all - the Christmas tree, of course, complete with the lights, garlands and hanging ornaments. After all, it's just not Christmas without the artificial tree to light up the home.
Think of the Theme:
The first thing to remember when decorating all-beautiful and yet no-sweat synthetic Christmas trees is to think of a theme. Yes, a central theme will tie the whole ensemble together so that the Christmas tree has symmetry and beauty.
Your choices in themes include:
Colour schemes like a completely white Christmas tree with the colours of the seasons for the ornaments or a lush green tree with white ornaments consisting of snowflakes, angels and other white objects.
Rustic themes that evoke Christmases spent in a cosy log cabin located in the woods. Think of ornaments like raffia, heirloom carved wooden ornaments like wooden beads, and pine cones.
Food themes using garlands and ornaments like gingerbread men, candy canes and cookies. These can either be real or made from synthetic materials like plastic.
Memory themes using pictures of the family, sentimental things, and other objects that evoke memories of Christmases past.
The beauty of artificial Christmas trees lies in the fact that these can be decorated in any way you desire. No need to worry about the needles and cones falling down as well as small insects hiding behind the leaves to eat at the ornaments.
Start with a Near-Perfect Tree (Or a Perfect One, If You Can):
Also, synthetic Christmas trees come in near-perfect to perfect shapes - symmetrical on all sides and from top to bottom. If the tree branches get squashed due to shipping and storage, it's a simple matter of plumping the artificial branches, leaves and needles back to shape, no sweat to it, indeed.
Light It Up Good:
When the artificial Christmas tree is now in its perfect condition, the next step is to add the lights. The general rule of thumb is to add 200 to 500 miniature lights for a Christmas tree 4 to 5-feet tall; 500 to 700 lights for a 6 to 7-feet tall tree; and 800 to 1200 lights for an 8 to 9-feet tall tree. Then again, you will find pre-lit artificial Christmas trees. You need not worry about putting on the miniature lights around the tree since the tips are already equipped with built-in lights.
Swag It with Festive Garlands and Ornaments:
The last step is to swag the Christmas tree with the festive garlands and the Christmas ornaments. Be sure to swag the tree so that the garlands are wrapped around the tree in a symmetrical manner without covering the entire tree. Then, have a go at the Christmas ornaments! Be sure to distribute the ornaments in a symmetrical, overall and even pattern, which can either be on branch tips as focal points or on the tree in general to add dimension. You also have the choice of irregularly-spaced clusters to add interest.
Just let your creative juices flow when thinking up of ways to decorate artificial Christmas trees into stunning beauties. You will find that the spirit of Christmas always shines through no matter how tall or short the tree may be.
