Nokia 7210 is a cool cell phone with a good feature set

Nokia cell phones are getting bigger and everybody is unhappy about it. On their side, the manufacturers say that the chassis has to be bigger in order to accommodate all the high end features. Nokia 7210 is an exception to this; it is a handset with plenty of features and still manages to remain small. The dimension of this Nokia cell phones is 10.5mm thick and 45mm across. The weight of this phone is 70 grams along with the battery and it is pretty light in the hand.

Nokia 7210 has a colorful two inch QVGA screen on the front and the flat keypad is divided by colored plastic, whisper thin strips. The display is bright and sharp but it is viewable only from the front. If you view it from the sides, the clarity will be lost. The keypad isn't the best one in cell phones, there is no definition between the buttons on each of the horizontal row.

There aren't any buttons on the edges of Nokia 7210 Supernova for pressing. The dedicated camera button and volume rocker that one would expect in such a phone are absent and those duties are given the to five way navigation button. The down and up buttons on the menu adjust the volume when you are in a call and the center button is used to clicking pictures.

On the top of Nokia 7210, there is a microUSB port alongside a 2.5 mm headphones jack. It would have been better if the manufacturer put in a 3.5 mm headphones jack because it would have let you plug in any standard headphones. For this, you will need to pay extra money for an adapter and the whole set up will be difficult to carry in the pocket.

The face and the back cover on these Nokia cell phones are customizable and they are the biggest selling point on this cell phone. There are two different color offered by Nokia bubblegum pink and metallic grey having blue trimming. Companies are working really hard to make their products attractive these days but it seems that Nokia hasn't put a lot of effort to make this handset beautiful. The grey and blue combination is pleasing but it is nowhere close to the sexy feel of other Nokia cell phones.

Nokia 7310 Supernova is a different phone and it looks quite distinctive too. The display is mirrored and the plastic silver number buttons too have mirrored effect. People who are into style can check their coiffure here at regular intervals. The phone feels really good in the hand. It is light and thin with a weight of 83 grams. It is 106.5mm tall, 11.95mm thick, and 45.5mm wide. It is really cool that Nokia gave these dimensions in such depth.

The screen of these Nokia cell phones have mirrored front and it disappears when you switch on the device. The display is two inches big (diagonally measured) and has resolution of 320x240 pixels with support for 16 million colors. Default theme on the Nokia 7310 Supernova is really horrible, it is a mix of white, lavender and pastel blue which doesn't even sound right. Fortunately, there are four other themes to choose from. Number pad of the Nokia 7310 Supernova is quite tacky and it feels plasticky on the fingers despite the silver reflective finish. The action is quite solid and the buttons are large. It is really easy to tap the buttons for compiling messages. The direction pad has a silver thin frame which surrounds the big select button. This too is unproblematic.
