Also known as the C3, the phone was officially released by Nokia in June

, 2010 with a price tag of around $170. The Nokia C3 is a very popular phone in the market already and is a big hit particularly with the social networking crowd due to the social internet capabilities and its low price tag. It is made by the Finnish firm Nokia which is the worlds leading mobile phone supplier.

The specifications include a General 2G Network GSM 850/900/1800/1900 ,its size is 115.5 by 58.1 by 13.6mm with a 320 by 240 pixels,2.4 inches screen and a full QWERTY keyboard that allows for easy typing. It weighs 114g and has vibration and mp3 ringtone sound alert types supported by a speakerphone having a universal 3.5mm audio jack. The phonebook memory is unlimited in terms of entries and fields with photo calls capability, the call records are detailed and can last 30 days before automatic deletion. The C3 has an internal memory of 55MB,64MB of RAM, 128MB ROM complemented by a card slot that can accommodate a micro SD card of up to 8GB even though a 2GB card is thrown in or comes with the phone. It has a data GPRS class 32, EDGE class 32, No 3G though but has a WLAN Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g capability for easy downloading and watching online videos, Bluetooth v 2.1 with A2DP for information sharing and communication between Bluetooth devices, EDR for connection, No infrared but a USB v 2.0 micro USB for file transfer is available along with a 2MP camera with 1600 by 1200 pixels resolution and video recording capacity even though the quality of the video recording and pictures is not of high quality. The phone therefore is not for serious picture snappers.

The features include messaging types through SMS, MMS, Email, Push Email, and IM. The Browser is WAP 2.0 enabled/XHTML, HTML (Opera Mini installed).the C3 has a stereo FM radio with RDS; the games can be downloaded and comes in three colors namely Golden white, Hot pink and slate gray. It is Java MIDP 2.0 enabled with social network integration for easy access of the sites such as twitter and Face book. It has an MP4, WMA player that supports formats such as MP3/WMA/WMA, e AAA player, has Flash Light 3.0,Voice command/dial ,Organizer and T9.The battery used is a standard battery, Li-ion 1320mAh that offers a stand-by of up to 800hours and a talk time of up to 7 hours.
