If Nokia are aiming to offer a solid foundation of performance for a slightly decreasing price tag, then the C6 is certainly a good start.

The new C-series of handsets being offered by Nokia are an attempting at throwing consumers a series of cheap and easy catches. The C6 echoes that of the Nokia N97 mini yet the price tag is considerably less. Therefore, can we establish that the C-series is fulfilling its pledge to give its consumers the ideal handset as well as being kinder to their wallets?

The device features a 3.2'' 16m-colour resistive touch screen in addition to a four-row full QWERTY keypad that slides out sideways and puts the screen into a landscape mode (via the built-in accelerometer). Sadly the screen does suffer when exposed to adverse sunlight (a problem conquered by some other competitors) and the user interface of the touch screen can result in some fumbling moments.

The C6 also offers a full range of connectivity options with 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and even GPS. Even better for the explorer in you, Nokia offer a lifetime of free of voice guided navigation, evolving your phone into more than just a phone. The internet browser is of a good standard and it does incorporate Flash support, making for a broader web experience. Full social networking integration is also available, including favourites such as Facebook.

For the avid photographer, this phone offers a camera that is of a solid quality. The camera itself is 5 mega-pixels with autofocus and LED flash. The interface for the snapper is quite simple and easy. However, the camera lens is not protected, making it more susceptible to scratching.

Other features include a 3.5mm audio jack, expandable memory, a built-in FM radio and an office document viewer. Bear in mind however, document editing is not available unless you are willing to pay for an upgrade.
