Nokia N950 Comes With MeeGo Operating System

Nokia is a company that has been making high end smartphones for a lot of years. In fact, it is probably the one company that has been making high-end smart phones before the launch of the Apple iPhone, which brought a new definition to the term of being a high end smartphone. Due to the success of the Apple iPhone, launched has been facing a hard time of late, with a number of models that have been launched failing to meet the standards set by its predecessors. The Nokia N950 is rumoured to be the phone that will finally be bringing back to the big stage, which was slightly done by the launch of the Nokia N8.

However, the Nokia N8 failed in one big area, the operating system. It was running on the Symbian 3 operating system, which is essentially the Symbian S60 edition revamped with some changes. Hence, even though the hardware of the Nokia N8 was nothing short of brilliant, it did not get the same kind of attention that a new operating system would have certainly given it. Nokia plans to do exactly that with the launch of the Nokia N950, which will be running on the MeeGo operating system, which was first seen in the Nokia N900. The operating system did not take off as much as expected it to in the Nokia N900 mainly because of the fact that he did not have the supporting applications in the same way as the Apple and the android operating systems did. This was a major problem for the MeeGo operating system, but it seems that Nokia is persisting with this operating system as they see this operating system to be the future of the Nokia phones.

It is expected to be coming with the new Nokia N950, a phone that has not been officially announced by the company. It is not take long to realise that this phone will be the successor to the Nokia N900, a fact that can be easily deduced from the name itself. However, it is expected to have hardware configuration similar to the Nokia N8, and if Nokia really persists with this phone with such a configuration, then it could be having a real winner on its hands. The new operating system will be employing a similar strategy to the Symbian operating system by going for the mass market rather than being a developer's product. This means that you will be able to change the operating system as one of the editors of it. To be simpler, it is expected to function in the same way as the android operating system does currently.

This is expected to have a massive impact on the Nokia N950. Even though the exact specifications and other details about the phone have not been revealed, it is expected that it will be on the level of the flagship model of the company once it launches. Also, the MeeGo operating system is finally expected to take Nokia to the next level.
