Nokia's Best Business Phone, the Nokia E7

The age of business phones in the Nokia line-up began with the launch of the E series and it seems to be continuing with the announced Nokia E7. Nokia recently announced that this will be the phone that is going to be at the top end of the spectrum when it comes to the business phones. However, looking at the features of this new phone, it is going to be even better than the current flagship of the Finnish company, the Nokia N8. This is because it will be having quite a lot of features along with the usual business applications that are the trademark of the E series of phones from Nokia.

The Nokia E7 will be coming with a 4 inch touch screen display that is slightly larger than the 3.5 inch display that is seen in the Nokia N8, but crucial it will be coming with the ClearBlack display technology that is known to improve the visibility in direct sunlight. This new technology in the Nokia E7 makes this phone better at every situation, which is certainly not the case with the Nokia N8, which despite the AMOLED display technology, fails to provide adequate brightness in sunlight. The resolution and the other technologies of the screen remain the same. However, the screen will be assisted by the presence of a physical full QWERTY keyboard as opposed to the virtual full QWERTY keyboard that is seen in the Nokia N8.

This is one major difference and the full QWERTY keyboard in the Nokia E7 can be accessed by sliding out in the underneath version of the 4 inch display in the landscape mode. This reveals a keyboard that is adequately going to provide spaces between the keys in order to facilitate in easy typing. The camera in the phone has been given slightly less importance than the Nokia N8. The result is the eight megapixel camera, which will be lacking the autofocus option. However, it is still capable of competing with the 12 megapixel autofocus camera of the Nokia N8. This is due to the presence of plenty of additional features along with the camera like the video stabilisation, face detection and dual LED flash. The operating system that is going to be used in the Nokia E7 will be the same Symbian 3 operating system that was first seen in the Nokia N8.

The internal memory of the phone is expected to be the same at 16 GB, but it will be lacking the memory card option. However, most important criteria for a business phone have to be the applications and the full QWERTY keyboard that comes with. In such a case, the Nokia E7 more than comes out triumphant. The Nokia E7 recently begun shipping worldwide and is going to be available in the United Kingdom within a few weeks. The pre-order price of the phone has been decided at 489.99, which seems to be extremely reasonable considering the amount of features that the phone has.
