Nokia's 6303 Upgraded To New Nokia 6303i Classic Edition
The popular Nokia 6303 which was a replacement for one of the best selling Nokia
phones ever; the Nokia 6300 has now been upgraded by the manufacturer and launched as the Nokia 6303i Classic.
This new phone further improves in a few areas on the older model most noticeably when it comes to battery life, mostly promoted as a business phone and issued to many company representatives, salesmen and drivers the new extended battery life of up to 21 days in standby mode will make a huge difference.
There has also been added support included for social networking and the Nokia 6303i Classic has also been given an exterior makeover and been made available in a range of new colour schemes.
The main features include 3.2 mega pixel camera with dual LED flash and autofocus, an expandable memory with a pre-packed 2GB in the box, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, an FM radio, multimedia player and 3.5mm audio jack catering for standard headphone sets.
The Nokia 6303i Classic also offers another major benefit over the previous Nokia 6303 model, that is that it is actually cheaper to buy!
A benefit probably only recognised by employers is the fact that the Nokia 6303i is not a 3G device, this means that they can issue these handsets to their workforce safe in the knowledge that the employee will not be running up a huge bill using data on top of work related calls.
Nokia have been busy lately releasing lots of new models into the marketplace, some of these include the higher specification Nokia N97 mini, X6 and X6 16GB and N900 plus a range of budget models such as the Nokia 2220 Slide, 3720 Classic and 7230.
In terms of competition from rival manufacturers, none really target the exact same market segment as Nokia do with this phone, the closest competition comes from the likes of the recently released Sony Ericsson Elm which is an eco-friendly handset that also offers a front facing keypad, something which to be fast vanishing from a mobile phones market obsessed with touch screen technology.
The new Nokia 6303i Classic has been released in its silver colour scheme on O2 pay monthly contract deals, there are further network launches expected from Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone over the coming days from third party retailers.
This latest Classic range handset is also due to launch in further colour schemes, these include matt black, chestnut, pink, white silver and karki gold although there are currently no firm release dates for these models they are expected to launch around Q2 2010.
