, Nokia and Microsoft, in order to combine their technologies to develop mobile phone or a smartphone with an interesting atmosphere in the market has its advantages as well as drawbacks. The alliance includes the successful differentiation of the benefits to consumer and will be tested in the partnership.

Microsoft is already ruling over the PC market with Apple as its only competitor and later the Linux Open Source were introduced. On the other hand Nokia has also proved itself as a biggest dealer in the mobile market and control the largest share of market with their Symbian operating system. After this announcement of the partnership, a lot of question have been raised with in the market and within Nokia as well as with in the Microsoft itself. If this partnership becomes successful then this condition raised will be mitigated.

Due to the fear of declining Symbian platform as well as the controversies against the windows for mobile is proven to be very grateful for thecompetitors such as apple as well as android and also RIM Blackberry. The smartphone market is completely redefined by the Apple and its iOS. This large battle is spread only to get the dominance for platform over the globe, developers across carriers as well as other market scenarios.

On the other hand there occurs the need of security. Security includes preventing the personal data from hackers, malwares, crime waves etc. Operating systems such as iOS, RIM as well as android are secure to some extent rather than Microsoft whose PC platforms are well known for their high susceptibility.

After listening the views of various analysts, smartphone manufacturers and technicians we conclude that Nokia have put themselves into a highly critical condition after tie-up with Microsoft. Still after the combination of Microsoft platform and Nokia it takes ample of time for them to prepare an adaptable and feasible product. The disliking of people towards the Symbian platform causes Nokia lose the market contribution rapidly. Also the delay in the launching of the Nokia-Windows phone causes the cumulative effect to Nokia. Hence due to the void in the market, other manufacturer captures the market completely and makes it difficult for the new product to recapture the market.

Presently Apple has taken over the market of smartphones and tablets and also the unprecedented growth of the Android is matter of big concern for Nokia-Microsoft. The earlier super hit market of Nokia in European countries is already taken over by the HTC, Rim, Apple, Samsung etc.

Along with problem of void in market, the content and App market is another dominating factor for popularity for Android and is a concerning factor for Nokia-Microsoft to recapture the market.
