Most surgical wears such as gowns, scrub suits, caps, covers, and drapes are made of non woven fabrics. Also, even the agricultural industry prefers to use non woven textiles in many terms because they're durable and can trap and/or repel liquid easily. They're popularly employed as erosion control agents, soil stabilizers, water barriers, landfill liners, frost protection, and underlayment for roadways.

Compared to their woven counterparts, non woven fabrics can be a lot more cost effective to use since they can handle greater loads better and can resist wear and tear more effectively. Cases in point are those ads and posters that are hung outdoors. If they're printed on woven fabrics, they may be able to withstand alternating heat and cold climate but not for too long. Not to mention, their prints might wash off overtime. On the other hand, non woven textiles can hold up longer with diverse weather conditions without suffering wear and tear no matter how long. This is basically the reason why more people opt to use tarpaulins today instead of those traditional banners in woven fabrics that were popularly used back then.

Non woven textiles are as perfect for one-time uses as they are for long-time applications. Whether it's for a home furnishing, hygiene and sanitation, health care, commercial, or industrial purpose, there's always an edge in using non woven materials rather than their woven and knitted counterparts. Economy-wise, non woven fabrics also help a lot too since they're durable items yet come in less costly prices. And with the sour economy that we have today, this is no less than a savvy idea to consider.
