Today we reached office as a law abiding citizen and before my boss arrived. Good feeling to end the day withoutbreaking any law. Two great accomplishments in a day, I usually manage to achieve either one in a day. Just toclarify, when I say "Law-abiding citizen" I only specifically mean road regulations and when I say arrivedoffice before my boss I mean late, very late.
This time around I want to dedicate my blog to all the cool people who keep it simple. My everyday people, strangely allthem are dudes. They are more like institution to me I learned so much from them without their knowledge. Best education I ever got that too for free. Kind of people who even if they get carried away we can tell them on their face "Can we change the topic please?" and they won't mind. People who have guts to say world in their face, Fuck you. I adore such rare kind of people or should I call endangered species only 10000left.
I believe that we all are innate simple people with over-simplified needs but as we evolve physically, mentally andspiritually and on any possible level one can evolve. I, myself, was born simple and was quite laid back till I realised thatI was a girl. The epiphany struck me when I was 17!
So carrying on my painful endeavor forward, I was talking about simple people. I came across so many people who inspire me and make me laugh, a lot. Right from the familiar faces I see every day or creepy irksome perverts in train. Be it woman who religiously digs her nose incessantly every single day like it is nobody's business or eunuch who begs with pride offering her blessing in return.
Swaraj, was almost my best friend, this maybe one-sided proclaimed relationship. But he was the guy I grew up talking too. He was the one who introduced me to facts of life. Sadly only theoretically, he was probably the first guy I was attracted too. As I grew out of my somehow unconventional adolescent we also grew apart. Funny thing was I never felt I was attracted to him when he was around. Never felt envious when he is used openly flaunt his gorgeous girlfriend and used to tell me about their intimate moments. I can affirmatively say that I was never jealous as it was only first real crush I had. And everybody knows first crush always almost never gets materialized (It does! Well, I'm happy to be under misconception that it doesn't). He was the grumpiest guy ever and I loved it about him. He is a kind of guy who used to laugh rolling on the floor when I told him about the guy in college who gave me rose. He never used to feel sorry for me or for anyone. In fact, I remember this time when I was grieving bitterly over the fact that how much everybody hates me in my family. How much my life sucked and how wrong is everything around me. Swaraj, who was an innate good listener used to give me advice which was without any question brutal and unbiased. I looked at his quizzically curled beady eyes waiting for a word of wisdom that could console my disturbed soul. But instead, he just plainly said "Suicide". "Kill yourself that will teach your parents a lesson and also circumstances surrounding your death would make your cousins life easier." I was just too shocked to move. When you grew up watching too much Bollywood movies that is not a kind of answer you expect from your supposedly best friend. But I got over it as soon as that day ended. Nevertheless, I still consider him my best bud even though we are not in touch anymore. He is an asshole and I love him for that. Even today I know for sure, that if I approach him now sobbing over my life he still ask me to commit suicide, might even give me a suicide-manual.
Bananaman , even though I don't know his name but he is one of most frequently visited and interestingly amusing person in my life. Every morning I see him while I'm riding down to office, nicely organising his stacks of bananas. And that what he does for living and he does it with so much love and care. The fact that he is a complete imbecile only adds to his wonderfully nonchalant persona. It so funny that he himself have no clue what does that makes me and my friend Jyotsna giggleevery timehe gets baffled about the exact change he needs to payback. I always catch him sitting under the shades of huge banyan tree either talking to his old friend the Samsosawala or arranging his stocks. It is like watching a little girl adorning her Barbie doll. A grown up man playing with his bananas. I know the last sentence have absurdly graphic connotation, but I mean this in the best of ways. I guess what I'm trying to say that he is content with his life with his vocation more than my boss who does nothing more than walking in and out of his office at his leisure. More money more problem!
Thiru, skinnest guy ever, however his emaciated structure can't be translated to what a great man he is. Coolest guy ever, will never hurt anyone intentionally but will hurt. My friend, he is pretty chilled out. You know kind of guy who disconnects your call while you are still talking. But for a guy, he is really sweet.
Why I'm sharing my writing space? Well, this people are only reminder to me how real people are. They never judge me and somehow seem to like me for the way I'm, which is weird because I had find so difficult to like myself most of the times.
I don't have any inspiration or ambition in life but as long as I know that I'm surrounded by people for whom life is not complicated twisted struggle or nothing is of much bigger deal, I know I will be fine.
