North West Revealed As Top Seo Region, But How Do You Filter The Good From The Bad?

Recent reports have listed the North West as the prominent SEO region of the United Kingdom with cities such as Manchester

, Liverpool and Leeds leading the way in Search Engine Optimisation and Internet Marketing, a simple google search for SEO Manchester or SEO Liverpool will return a large number of SEO companies and agencies but are all of these good ethical SEO companies or are many of them simply setting up websites and jumping on the band wagon so to speak?

Recent research has shown that for ever ethical and honest SEO company that you find in a certain city or area they are 10 or sometimes even 20 others not so ethical companieswho are simply there to take you for a ride, take your money and basically do nothing to help your business website climb up the search engines, we all know that we need to be careful when hiring builders, plasterers, gardeners or even when choosing a garage to service our vehicles so as to not end up get a poor or dishonest service but horror stories concerning these businesses are few and far between and usually these dishonest companies end up on the wrong side of the law. So why do you here so much bad press about dodgy SEO and Internet Marketing companies getting away with it? Well, the main reason is the lack of regulation, anyone can pass themselves off as an search engine optimisation and internet marketing expert these days and its the only industry I know of where someone can take you money, not give you the service they promised and get no comeback.

Hundreds of companies and individuals each year pay thousands of pounds in SEO fees and get nothing for their money, the only thing I can say to these people is, didn't you do any research into the company first? did they have a Facebook page? what were there fans saying,? did they have an active Twitter account? did you follow their tweets for a while, could you contact real businesses that they have done SEO work for? what did their website say? where their any testimonials? The truth is people don't do this and its usually 2 or 3 months into a campaign when they realise that they have been taken for a ride and their website is never going to climb up the search engines, but that's 2 or 3 months payments that your not going to get back, some people get convinced by the SEO company that just one more month and you'll see results, which you don't.

Under these current economic conditions it's a shame that people are spending money that they can't afford with Internet Marketing companies that are simply out to take their money from the outset. So even though the North West is currently the major SEO area of the United Kingdom, it doesn't mean that every Manchester, Liverpool or Leeds based SEO company is a good one? in fact it's the opposite, there are more unethical SEO companies in the North West than anywhere else in the country, although saying that their are some very good ones too, My advice is to do your research and stay clear of companies asking you to sign a 6 or 12 month minimum term contract or companies claiming to work for or have an insider a Google you should also avoid pushy salesmen, or companies offering a today only deal, your should avoid these because an SEO agencies work should speak for itself, they should have satisfied clients, genuine testimonials, active twitter and facebook pages and a non pushy approach to your business.
