. But have we ever taken the time out to see what they exactly are and what they mean. Well I did and now I will explain to you exactly what they mean.
When a fragrance designer or Perfumer wants to launch a new fragrance, how do they do it exactly? They use something that is called a perfumer"s organ Picture. It is a multi-level table which houses hundreds of scents and all the bottles together look like an organ which is played. All of these bottles have one single scent that is highly concentrated so that they only give off a single smell. The way that these perfumers work is that they combine many different scents from many different bottles in small amounts to try and get a new fragrance from them. This is mostly a trial and error method, the ones that do not work are casted away and the ones that work are mass produced and can be found at your near Mall or Perfumer or where ever you go to buy perfumes and cologne also including the internet.
As I told you that perfumer"s use something called a perfumers organ, due to the fact that the fragrances are made in musical term, hence the scents which are put into them are also on musical bases. The top notes are the ones that are less concentrated and hence the ones that are to vaporize after being applied. Now comes the middle notes these are those scents that stay there for a while such as 30mins to 2 hours and give off a new scent because the top notes have vaporized and only the middle and base note are left. Now we come to the final notes which are the base notes. These scents are the very high concentrated they do not evaporate. The reason why all of these scents vaporize is because they all are diluted in alcohol, mostly ethanol you will find a non-alcoholic perfume or cologne from time to time. The reason that all Scents are diluted in ethanol is because the perfume concentrate is pure perfume oil. Now when you combine all of this together you get the final symphony of the scents with all three notes playing together in a Fragrance Symphony.
