Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, usually abbreviated to NSAIDs or NAIDs

, are drugs with analgesic, antipyretic (lowering an elevated body temperature and relieving pain without impairing consciousness) and, in higher doses, with anti-inflammatory effects (reducing inflammation).
