There are many nursing colleges all over the world who are offering different courses for all the types of nurses. It is advised that before taking admission in any nursing college you should first check its accreditation. Red Cross is a very well recognized institute which is offering its courses in many cities all over the country. Getting your education from such well reputed nursing colleges would always be very beneficial for you. The training for CNA certification is generally less than three months, the job of a LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) demands a one year diploma or a two year associate degree and the RN (registered nurses) are required to obtain a two year associate degree or a four year bachelor degree.After completing your training you will be required to sit for your assessment which is different for evey student. After passing this exam you can start your career anywhere. There would be a number of jobs waiting for you as the US is always short of nurses. You can work in a hospital, nursing home or you may even get hired by people to take care of patients or elderly citizens at their homes. A nurse usually works for five days a week and rests for two days. Nurses have to work for 8 hours every day and sometimes they get to work on weekends but in that case they get two other days for rest.
