Bruce Quaal, YRC line haul driver from Minnesota has been named the National Champion in the Sleeper Class. Quaal has been in the transportation industry for 19 years and with YRC for the past 16 years, and he has received the 10 Year Million Mile Safe Driver Award from YRC Worldwide.

Will Chrvala, New Penn city driver from Pennsylvania placed second in the 4-Axle Class. Additionally, Mr. Chrvala won the Vehicle Condition Award for pre-trip inspections, an award only given to one driver in the entire competition. Chrvala has been in the transportation industry for the past 37 years and has been with New Penn for the past 8 years. He is a twelve-time Pennsylvania State Champion and two-time National Champion in 1995 and 1998.

Rich Seigle, YRC shuttle driver from Illinois placed third in the 4-Axle Class. Seigle has been in the transportation industry for the past 32 years and has been with YRC for the past 26 years. He is a six-time Illinois State Champion and two-time National Champion in 2002 and 2000. He has received the 2.7 Million Miles Safe Driver Award from YRC and 3.5 Million total miles driven throughout his career with YRC Worldwide.

The American Trucking Associations (ATA) sponsors the event, also known as the "Super Bowl of Safety," where over 400 drivers compete for national titles in nine vehicle classes of vehicles and the coveted National Grand Champion title. The drivers accumulate points through a written examination, pre-trip inspection test and a skills test.

Rambus Inc. (NASDAQ:RMBS) and NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA), reported that they have signed a patent license agreement related to certain memory controllers.

Under this agreement, RMBS has granted NVDA a patent license for certain memory controllers at a 1 percent royalty rate for SDR memory controllers and a 2 percent royalty rate for other memory controllers, including DDR, DDR2, DDR3, LPDDR, LPDDR2, GDDR2, GDDR3, GDDR4, and portions of GDDR5 memory controllers. NVIDIA has granted no licenses to Rambus.

The parties have not signed any releases of liability, nor dismissed any outstanding litigation between them, but the patent license agreement went into effect on August 12, 2010.

The terms of the license are per the agreement that Rambus offers as part of its commitment with the European Commission. A sample of the Memory Controller License Agreement is available at www.rambus.com/licensing.
