Oakville: Get Out And Go Around In A Limo

Oakville is a town made up of twelve neighbourhoods

. It is all part of the Greater Toronto Area. It has a population just under 166,000 and is situated on Lake Ontario.

In 1793 the army opened a military road and named it Dundas Street. The surrounding area was bought by the crown from the local Mississauga people. A little more than a decade later British settlers began to camp in the vicinity and on the shores of Lake Ontario. They soon developed it into a little settlement. This area along the shore and including Oakville Harbour is known as Old Oakville, one of the twelve neighbourhoods. The other neighbourhoods are known as Bronte, Eastlake, Clear view, College Park, Iroquois Ridge North, Iroquois Ridge South, Glen Abbey, Palermo, River Oaks, Uptown Core, and West Oak Trails.

Oakville is well-known for its Midnight Madness. This is a draw card sale held at midnight in July each year. It involves a massive reduction in price of all sorts of products at amazing discounts sometimes as much as 90%.

It hosts an annual jazz festival along the Lakeshore Road on five stages and there is no entrance fee. Oakville is also known for many non-profit, multidisciplinary arts and culture groups that produce an annual Love of Arts festival to promote local talent, and to try and develop a love for the arts among the population.

Attending any function or celebration and arriving in a limo adds status, spice and enjoyment to any outing.
