Benzo Fury also known as 6-APB or by its chemical name 1-(benzofuran-6-yl)propan-2-amine

and may only be distributed by 5 official distributors for research purposes only. 6-APB is an entactogen stimulant drug belonging to the classes of amphetamine and phenethylamine.

There are many non-official online vendors distributing a chemical under the name of 6-APB. Given the fact they are not official distributors of 6-APB, they are unable to purchase authentic 6-APB. Hence what they are actually selling is 6-APDB, which in layman's terms is an unclean variant of 6-APB and arguably falls under the Misuse of Drugs Act in various countries. As these vendors have no issues selling chemicals under false names, one has to wonder what other shortcuts may have been taken with the goal of increasing sales.

The question is: How does one identify a suspect distributor or vendor?

The answer is quote simple - Anyone selling a chemical under the name of 6-APB or Benzo Fury in powder or capsule forms is certainly not an official vendor as Benzo Fury is only manufactured in pellet form and ONLY comes in a custom orange foil wrapping that is factory sealed. If they are selling capsule or powder by the gram, they are actually selling 6-APDB (potentially illegal) or trying to sell old stocks of Naphyrone (illegal in many countries) or possible just plain old powder Caffeine (legal, but for the price you pay for it you could have bought a kilogram!). Simply for having some these chemicals in your possession, you may face up to 5 years in prison and if you distribute these chemicals to other researchers, you may find yourself in even bigger trouble.

The police and media have been testing the product sold by many research chemical vendors recently and the majority have been found to contain different substances than what they were labelled. The vast majority of products tested were found to contain old stocks of Mephedrone, Naphyrone, various other illegal Cathinones and stimulants such as powdered Caffeine. In fact, a recent study on the chemical Ivory Wave sold by many "head shops" online was found to contain a cocktail of almost every research chemical that has been made illegal in the last two years.

There are very few vendors who stand behind their products and even less vendors that have been in the research chemical business for more than 6 months. You should use extreme caution when purchasing research chemicals online and take every measure to identify opportunist and fake vendors.
