Oh,Internet !

Everybody admits that the internet is one of the most memorable and useful device invented so far

. With its help anybody from any corner of the world can reach out,send messages,exchange information and publicize any information for the general public through web sites, Blogs,e-books and Mail Boxes. The result is so miraculous that almost simultaneously our well established postal system along with other message sending systems become useless as compared to the same. Sending and receiving messages just become a matter of seconds with minimum cost and efforts. Sending pictures and documents is now a childs play. Lastly, the video conference facility where people,leaders and experts on different aspects around the world can discuss about any matter of interest and come to a decision on the spot and their interaction can be recorded and seen by the public as well. This can be compared with a game watched in a TV screen being played thousands of miles away.To be brief, the Internet virtually knocked out the previous postal and messaging systems.

So far so good, now that I state the abuses I must admit that the views expressed are my own.

But alas! God probably have not given us anything with all good benefits like our dear Moon, which also have some dark side with potholes, craters etc. In Internet, the most irritable thing I observe so far is the mass of Spam (unwanted) messages landing in our mail boxes everyday. While some suggest that it is about 60% of our total mails received others believe that it is about three times the real messages of interest we get. This happens in spite of the sophisticated spam detectors and blockers available with the reputed Mail Boxes.

Out of the these spam messages the greed evoking ones may be the most dangerous, that too if it is sent by some (fake) lottery prize distributor. They promise to get us about a million bucks or more provided we are ready to shell out a few hundred bucks in the manner they wanted. If you believe them and pay, they simply get vanished into the air (or out of the net) and you become a fool. There are some who request you to copy-past and send their messages to your friends promising you money immediately. They probably advertise some product, say, their e-book or so at your expense of time as you never get the money promised. The third category to my mind may be some websites promising wealth with little or no cost at all.

The manner in which theses dream merchants carry on their business through Internet so briskly and effectively that our Cy ber Police cells operating in different countries are probably of no match to them. If anybody disagrees with my comment , kindly send me he e-mail address and the name of the office taking prompt action and ensure remedy for the victims.

Apart from these, a group of self made Internet marketing gurus (experts) are emerging who guaranties you a host of benefits and huge profit through their Auto Pilot and other brand new techniques if you pay them a few hundred bucks. If you request them to show some result by offering a percentage of your profit after the money is realized, they simply keep quite and avoid you.

Although most of the Spam Masters act as dream merchants, there is one more dangerous group (you may call them as house burglars) emerging who simply hacks some vital information out of your website or even of your messages, like your Credit Card and Bank account details and then at an opportune time siphon of your money without your knowledge. They may get caught at times but chances are rare. All theses players probably send me me a signal that the Internet is mostly dominated by some international Pirates.

Before I end, I like to share with you the content of one Spam mail, I received sometime earlier. It says that one UN agency has selected me as one of the most spam victims and granted me compensation worth about a million bucks. In order to receive it I must pay a few hundred bucks as service and other charges as per their instructions. Any comment?
