Job Description

Responsibilities for the Site Supervisor will include not only the operation of the equipment to ensure up-time is kept at an acceptable level, but will also entail administrative functions such as inventory control and management of the site inventory, time sheet and schedule maintenance, and depending on the ultimate location of placement, arrangement of transportation and accommodation for operational personnel most often with the assistance of a local agent.

Skills Required

The qualified candidate will have gas engine and reciprocating compressor experience. They must have the ability to supervise and work hand-in-hand when necessary with a multi-cultural workforce. They should have the ability to fault find and repair operational faults, including but no limited to system shutdowns, instrumentation faults and other mechanical faults if and when they should arise. They should be comfortable working on a permanent 28 day on / 28 day off rotation between their home country and company sites in countries such as: . When on site, the supervisor will have the overall responsibility of the compressor station.

Support of all Sales & Marketing Activities in Gas Compression, Process Plant, Power Generation and Aftermarket product streams. Preparation and development of cost & pricing models, both for individual projects (Operation & Maintenance and supply of capital equipment) Coordination with internal suppliers and external vendors for estimate and proposal generation Deliver effective and timely proposals to customers throughout the region Provide global centre of excellence for Rental Estimates and Proposals Responsible for overall improvement of the process of estimating, including data collection interpretation and preservation. Support the business to grow market share in terms of sales and provision of service. Key Areas of Responsibility Thorough review, understanding and analysis of customer's requirements when a new project is identified. Be able to communicate this to various internal departments. Assessment of viability of new projects, in terms of cost versus our ability to be competitive. Supporting the sales organisation by obtaining and consolidating technical & commercial information relevant to projects for which we are bidding. Liaising with the Procurement department and the suppliers to ensure equipment and services estimates are generated at competitive prices. Liaising with the Engineering department and technical representatives from customers /suppliers. Submission of bids to clients in accordance with their technical & commercial requirements. Assisting the sales organisation with tracking and forecasting opportunities by maintaining up-to-date information using the relevant sales tools. Providing Estimate history to GSi business for competitiveness assessment Identifying and actioning opportunities for continuous improvement within the Estimation & Tendering functions and within the company as a whole.

Skill Required

Previous Experience in an Estimating/Marketing role within an Engineering Business Good understanding of Machinery Aftermarket 5yrs + of relevant working experience in Middle East in tendering and estimation. Technical background with engineering qualification. Self motivation, ability to work under pressure within a team environment, good communication skills, professional attitude.
