Oktoberfest 2012 is the world's BIGGEST beer festival from only 50 per night per person!

Oktoberfest 2012 is a 16 to 18 day beer festival held in the city of Munich, which is located in the Bavaria region of Germany. It runs from late in September to the first weekend in October, hence the name Oktoberfest. Being one of the famous events in Germany, it is also the worlds largest beer festival, with over 5 million people visiting it each year. Such is the size of Oktoberfest, that many other cities in other countries also hold Oktoberfest Beer Festivals, named and based on the Munich Oktoberfest. In 2012, our trip is happening between the 20th September and the 7th October, and you can join us from two nights, or if you are man enough, the duration.

A bit of history: The beer festival commonly takes place on the sixteen days up to and which includes the first Sunday in October. If the first Sunday falls on the 1st or 2nd of October, then the festival will go on until the 3rd, which is German Unity Day. Hence the beer festival can be 17 days long if the first Sunday is on the 2nd, or 18 days long if the first Sunday falls on the 1st. The festival is held in an area of Munich called Theresienwiese, meaning the field, and is located close to Munich city centre.

Visitors can also soak up the beer with a variety of different (and large amounts) types of German cuisine, such as chicken, pork roast, grilled ham, german sausages, pretzel, bread and potato dumplings, cheese noodles, potato pancakes and red cabbage.

Our holidays to Oktoberfest 2012 are camping/campsite holidays and cost just 50 per day (minimum 2 days):

We run regular transport between the campsite, the Oktoberfest site and Munich City Centre.

The hotelSavage.com campsite is very close to the Oktoberfest grounds (just 15 minutes) and we give it a total festival within a festival atmosphere.

We offer pickups and transfers from Munich train station also.

2 person tents with sleeping bags* & mattresses are set up for your arrival. Just dump your stuff inside and grab a beer.

We serve you up hearty breakfasts - just right for a days drinking.

Every 2nd day we fire up the barbeque, and make a massive party of it. No worries if you are vegetarian, as we also cater for you.

Every day we do UNLIMITED BEER AND SANGRIA for just 5!

*sleeping bags available for an extra 3 per day let us carry and wash them.
