We have recently performed a review of the OnePath products that are marketed directly to Medical Professionals through certain associations in Australia (One Path Easy Protect and OnePath Pro Secure Income Protection) and compared these products to more comprehensive products available from OnePath.
The results are rather surprising the Income Protection distributed in association with medical associations (RACGP, Pharmacists Guild, AMA) are very basic and more often than not are not even cheaper than the most comprehensive Income Protection product offered by OnePath.
As an example, both ProSecure and EasyProtect exclude all mental illnesses which are highly claimed upon reasons for not beng able to work for doctors, dentists and other medical professionals. Other areas of major concern as they greatly increase your ability to make a claim are waiting period qualification, offsets and definition of total disability.
