After weighing the choices between shopping for a brand new surround system with speakers, and shopping for a far better receiver and keeping the speakers I've already got, I opted for this Onkyo TX-SR608 to switch the tired Onkyo receiver I've had for thirteen years. i'm terribly proud of that call.
