There is an ancient rule in online marketing that says givers never lack

. No doubt, I know many people don't believe that but I can tell you from personal experience that it is more than true. This online marketing tips article is going to show you why this is so true. Keep reading for more information.

Many years ago, I assisted an online marketer with a campaign he was running. I didn't charge him for the job because I felt it was the thing to do. Well, I didn't hear from him for a very long time until one day, this person started promoting one of my numerous products. I never asked him to. He just did on his own and guess Why? I'd like to think it was because I had assisted him out the other day.

Just a few weeks ago I had some trouble with a third party site. Well, one member of a forum that I frequently hang out sent me a private message to let me know that he had personally contacted the site on my behalf to let them know that what they had done was wrong and directed them to a thread about the incident. Why did this member do it? Well, I'd like to think it's because of something I had done for him in the past and I can't think of what it was.

Truth is, we don't market our product in a vacuum. Everything we do is not hidden. If we participate in forums and contribute to those forums, a lot of people get to see that contribution. On the other hand, if we attend forums and act like a horse's rump, a lot of people get to see that as well. How we present ourselves is how we are taken.

So you might want to ask yourself. Do I want to be seen as somebody who does nothing but takes or rather do I want to be seen as a cheerful giver? Who do you think is going to be seen in a more favorable light? And if you ARE somebody who gives, do you not think that there are going to be those who are going to return the favor sooner or later? Of course, there are many individuals who do nothing but take, I guess that is human nature but most folks are pretty decent and if you do right by them, they'll do right by you as well.

That goes to say "You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" Perhaps, and I'm not denying that many that goes on, particularly among the big boys of online marketing. We see it all the time whenever there is a big product launch. The same guys are always promoting each other's products and helping each other one way or the other. Some people look at that as a bad thing but I see that as just another example of what I'm talking about.

In other words, you can decide to play the game or play against the game.
