Born on May 26, 1942 at Mekedatu in the state of Karnataka, South India, Indian Guru Sri Sri Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji is regarded as one of the greatest spiritual leaders of the present day often considered as a 'Dattatreya Avatara' by millions of his devotees . As the head of Avadhoota Datta Peetham, Guruji has devoted his entire life to help seekers discover God, to seek the true meaning of life and their own true Self. A siddhi purusha and a firm believer in all religions, sect and creed, Guruji believes that the only way to attain the ultimate truth is through music- nama sankirtan, bhajans, nama japa. A pioneer of the Raagaragini Vidya, Swamiji believes that it is only through bhakti songs and bhajans that one can realize god and get answers to one question. Over the period of time Guruji has composed over 7000+ bhakti songs in languages as diverse as Hindi, Sanskrit, Telugu, Kannada and English. Soothing and melodious these bhakti songs have the ability to not only transcend all sorts of barriers and conflicts but also help in curing people afflicted with various ailments all due to Swamijis ability to combine Indian bhakti songs with that with Ayurveda, Psychology, Gem therapy and Astrology .

Besides the spiritual endeavors, Guruji is also actively involved in various social services dedicated towards the upliftment of the downtrodden thorough the Avadhoota Datta Peetham. They have opened an old age home in Hyderabad and has given financial assistance to several Dalit students besides constructing several temples in Mysore.And this probably explains why devotees from around the world regard him Sri Sri Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji as 'Dattatreya Avatara'.
