The primary cause of damage to gear wheel is now exclusively the problem of faulty adjustment of the drives, radial and axial run out but also the use and application of unsuitable lubricating grease. Open Gear Grease should have good tackiness and hence adhesive type spray able lubricants are called Open Gear Greases.

Open Gear Grease should have high load carrying ability and should stick the gear surface in order to protect the open gear from dirt and sand particles.

Open Gear Grease is a heavy-duty synthetic lubricant developed for large unshrouded open gears in the mining, mineral processing and cement industries, and for other severe service applications that require a lubricant with superior wear protection, exceptional load-carrying ability, outstanding tackiness and ease of application at various temperatures. It also works well for applications in which gears experience high point-of-contact temperatures of 327C (620F) and above.

When it comes to open gear lubricants, no other product compares to this unique synthetically compounded open gear lubricant. Bronze Plate is at the pinnacle of all open gear lubricants as it out performs all others in lubricating open gears. This product provides outstanding lubrication even under water and is essentially a waterproof grease. It is not affected by salt water, most chemicals or acids. This synthetic grease open gear compound is not affected by extreme pressures or high RPMs. It can be used with confidence where extreme pressures exist and other lubricants cannot perform adequately.

Bronze Plate open gear lubrication operates in low and high temperatures. With an effective temperature range from -20F (-29C) to 500F (260C), it is used for many different applications where a high pressure lubricant is required and extreme low and high temperatures are present. This open gear lubricant is fortified with bronze and copper and with each gear revolution a new coating of lubricant is deposited.

These metallic particles actually fill all irregular surfaces whereby proper lubrication is achieved on all gears. In addition, this open gear lubricant eliminates chattering and excessive noise caused by irregular gear plating action. Bronze Plate will not sling off and does not pound out or squeeze out from high RPM or high pressure.

As the best of high pressure open gear synthetic greases, Bronze Plate withstands extreme pressures up to 150,000 psi and stops rust and corrosion associated with harsh chemical and salt conditions. Bronze Plate is widely used on marine type equipment, (even under water), construction equipment, mining equipment and even ceramic fixture manufacturers where ball mills with exposed open gears are found.

This unique synthetic open gear lubricant is packaged in standard grease cartridges as well as bulk containers including 6 and 55 gallon containers. No other product will prevent excessive wear on open gears and extend equipment life as does Bronze Plate.In addition to open gear lubrication, this synthetic lubricant is recommended for use on draglines, couplings and wire rope.
