Operation Enduring Seperation

Operation Enduring Separation has been an ongoing operation which affects every branch

of the Armed Forces and touches every family member regardless of age, race, sex, religion, or ethnicity. This operation has been in effect ever since the very first Army was established. Any who belongs to the brotherhood of fighting men who have ever had to spend time on an extended field exercise or have been deployed to a combat zone for an extended period of time knows all too well the price that is paid to be a part of this operation.

Operation Enduring Separation speaks for the time when troops are separated from their loved ones while discharging their sworn duties to their country. It speaks for the time that they have spent sleeping on the ground on top of ice and snow. It speaks for each and every wet and miserable experience that they have ever gone through while serving their country. It speaks for the times they have been caught in dust storms, rainstorms, blizzards, and heat waves. It speaks of the times when they could not get a drink of cool water in 140 degree heat because the military could not provide it. The military only has room for the important stuff when it sends units to fight. There is no left over space for those things which are not immediately useful.Military Ring Express

This operation speaks especially for the times that they have been separated from their husbands, wives, and children for months at a time. It speaks of the father of that new born who is now a year old and doesn't even recognize him when he sees him. Who runs away in fear because the face of its father or mother is not familar. It speaks of the soldier who just returned from Iraq for eighteen months with his old unit and finds out that he will have to go to Afghanistan with his new unit for another eighteen months just two weeks after he gets there.

It speaks of the Special Operations soldier who was sent to the field with a weeks supply of rations who has to stay out another three weeks.

It speaks for the mother who has just been moved to a place that she knows nothing about when her husband had to leave as soon as they got there. It speaks of her survival with several small children, a salary too small to even feed them, and a husband who is too far away to be of any help. It speaks further of the time that that husband finds that he will have to stay deployed for an extra six months, he only found out a few days before he was to return back home.

It speaks for the troop who is in a combat zone and is scared, tired, cold, wet, miserable, hungry, anxious, and just downright miserable.

I thought that this would be an interesting article because I saw the caption somewhere and had a brainstorm to write this article. No one realizes the trials that our servicemen and women have to endure unless you have been there. We should support our troops. Military Ring Express
