Options For Sauna Lovers And First-time Sauna Users

Imagine what it might be like to enjoy the warmth of your own sauna

. Wouldn't it be great if you could just spend some time letting go for just a while? Alternatively you might be interested to know how it may help promote good health. You'll find that there is a lot to choose from to fit your needs.

There are two types of saunas. They look about the same, but are heated differently. In a conventional steam sauna, a box of hot coals serves as the heating element for the room. The owner only needs to pour out water on the coals to get the steam going. In fact, to pour the water on the coals, most of these saunas come with a pail and a ladle.

The FIR infrared saunas are another type and it's a newer development. Saunas like these actually don't require any coal at all. They're nothing like the other type. Inside, the panels let off a certain type of light known to produce heat called infrared radiation. It's the same type of light the sun gives off.

The most appealing type seems to be the FIR infrared saunas. First, they are more clean than the other type, second, they are more energy efficient, and third, opening the door doesn't kill the heat. In fact, these infrared saunas are so sought after they are now being manufactured as portable. The most popular feature of these saunas is that they fold up and you can put them away.

As mentioned earlier, there are also health benefits of saunas. Because they cause you to sweat, saunas can help clear your body of harmful toxins by sweating them out in the process. It can help loosen your muscles and joints, and eases pain. Chronic conditions like arthritis and other types of inflammation can be improved with regular sauna use. People can enjoy a longer, healthier life because of the benefits of sauna use.

Something else to consider -- Infrared FIR saunas feel different than steam saunas because they heat you up, not the air around you. They also don't have the water-robbing side-effects of the steam saunas though.
