However if the email is no longer working then you will have to find another way to contact the person.

They also may have their own website or their university may have their information available. You also may be able to guess their email if it is for business as most business emails are assigned using traditional methods and many times you can figure this out.

There are discussion groups you can use like Usenet newsgroups and you may be able to find a person's email if you remember their interests or hobbies. You can search using their email address, name or favorite topics. You can also ask someone if they remember or know the person you are looking for. Many times this can be the easiest way to get someone's information.

If you are using an email address directory service then you do need to realize that many times these services will require a fee. Many websites will let your search for free but then may require a fee for more detailed information. The best are those that have very large directories.
