The iPad helps to control entertainment and climate systems, adjust the cabin blinds and lights and to call on crewmembers for service. The yacht that can hit up to 15.5 knots with a range of 7,000 nautical miles, features interiors designed by Glade Johnson. The yacht features main and upper deck salons, a sun deck and a sun lounge that surrounds the Jacuzzi forward.
The shipwrights at Stand Craft understand this and have introduced the 166 a modern yacht that comes with a super car tucked in the aft. Created in the same design, the wheels are fitted with a V8 engine producing 620 horsepower and a top speed of 305 kph. Of course, you could order your own choice of hot wheels be it Maybach, Lamborghini or a Ferrari. This is not the first of its kind by the company, who also have the Strand Craft 122, another ultra-premium yacht with its built-in garage but a little less brazen than the 166.
The Strand Craft 166 itself is uncompromising in every way with a retractable flybridge, a large hidden Jacuzzi sporting a built-in bar, tucked into the bow and richly themed five double en-suite staterooms equipped with 52 inch Bang & Olufsen TVs, LED mood lighting and an iPad control.
Hakvoort is the Dutch yacht builder is the 39 meter luxury motor yacht which has since been christened SnowbirD. It was being constructed under the project name Pretty Woman. It could have been named that even after completion as it has turned out to be a pretty yacht. The interior of SnowbirD is by Michela Reverberi whilst the exterior styling is by Cor D Rover.
The yachts interior has a traditional modern style. The full-beam owners suite includes a stateroom with a king-size bed and large walk-in wardrobe, plus a study. There are four guest cabins on the lower deck, two double VIP cabins and two twin-bed guest room all with ensuite bathrooms.
The social areas of the SnowbirD are equally impressive and luxurious. There is an open plan main lounge/dining area arrangement. A large whirlpool bathtub accommodates up to six people and a BBQ grill is being installed in a granite-topped bar. The sun deck features plenty of open space for sunbathing as well as two large sofas and adjustable teak tables. The bridge deck lounge opens up onto a delightful aft area with built-in seating and tables, plus a teak dining table.
Celebrity Cruises has revealed that its latest cruise ships will feature a restaurant where passengers can prepare their own meals while looking out to sea. It is known as an innovative brand in the industry and revealed new features being offered on cruise ships Silhouette and reflection.
Lawn Club Grill restaurant is the new concept they are introducing as a first in the cruise industry. The new restaurant will give patrons access to the grills, pizza-making tables, large ovens and other appliances so that they can grill their own choice of meats in the evening, alongside the restaurants chefs. During the day there will be demonstrations and classes on pizza making and dough tossing.
New spa-inspired suites have also been added to Celebrity Reflection, offering guests a private veranda, personal spa concierge and guaranteed proximity to the ships spas. Cruise-lovers will have to wait until 2012 to enjoy the new services onboard Celebrity Reflection, although Celebrity Silhouette is set to launch in July next year.
