Our Cavemen Putting Our Spa Samoa Forward

Many believe that women are more self conscious about their looks than men

, but what if I told you that men tend to be just as self conscious as women?

How do I know this? Well simple. One day my Dad rented a small car to go travel to Savaii and realized it looked too 'feminine' for him so he decided to leave me with the rental as he took our heavy duty, spacious, gas guzzling, family van instead. He would rather spend more money to look good in our van than to save money and look otherwise in a smaller car.

Finally, my Dad is a clean-shaven type of guy. He's never grown out his mustache or his beard, which I secretly believe is a part of the Samoan culture, as most Samoan men have no facial hair but then again it could be a growing trend. Either way the fact of the matter is that my dad will not take a step out of his room, if he did not shave because he knows very well that his face will be the first thing people see.

One day, I noticed a few ingrown hairs on his face, located just below his chin. It caught my eye as it was starting to show redness and irritation, so then I- the marketing manager for our infamous Samoan Spa-encouraged him to use a scrub to get rid of his ingrown hair, but he declined mumbling under his breath that only women use facial scrubs.

However, what he doesn't know is that facial scrubs are not just a female practice-it's unisex practice that fails to be acknowledged.

AlanietaSenibai Kata, Misiluki's certified beauty therapist, encourages everyone-including my old man, to get facials, which work to give the skin a healthy glow. Facials help to thoroughly clean pores, moisturize the skin and massage the muscles in the face as well reduce redness, irritation and prevent ingrown hairs.

Her professional advice would be to introduce my dad to one of Misiluki's deluxe facials to help prevent ingrown hair and any other facial irritations.

But the challenge comes with getting my dad to get a facial as he refuses to do any 'feminine'-like activity. So for the sake of my father and every other male out there, Misiluki Day Spa has created a package for MEN-ONLY in what we like to call the Man-Scape package. We hope that this package will be popular by our visiting Samoa resort guests as well as by the many hotels in Samoa.

This package is an express form of every treatment we have to suit even the busiest man on earth.

The Man-Scape package includes an express Man-icure for his hands, Med-icure for his feet, Man-facial for his face, and 60 minutes of any Samoan massage of his choice, all of which are under 2 hours and under $200 tala which saves him money and time.

There's simply no deal better than this, because we here at Misiluki Day Spa love to take care of our men, even our cavemen.

So book an appointment for HIM to experience body treatments that can help him discover healthy skin-something every cavemen has.
