Outdated Air Traffic Navigation Affects Zimbabwean Economy

Advanced and well equipped air traffic navigation is top most priority of every region

regarding its basic air transport operations, all worldwide states allocate huge budgets to enhance navigation facilities for air traffic, and in return they received huge taxes from air lines utilizing their navigation systems. The president of Air Traffic Controllers Association of Zimbabwe (ATCAZ), Evans Makuku has made announcement couple of days ago that air traffic controllers are not up to the mark and meeting international navigation standards, mostly equipment is outdated and not in well condition to perform its operations accurately but still airlines are utilizing its services for their navigation purpose. After its complements the aviation department of Zimbabwe has put its efforts to find solution of such outdated navigation system.

Zimbabwe is going to host United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) general assembly next year, strong impacts of such wretched conditions of traffic air controllers are expected over this event that will ultimately affect economy of entire region, airlines that are offering their Flights to Bulawayo facing huge delays due to lack of proper air traffic controllers as a upshot business community got a lot of trouble concerning attending meetings and auctions, resulting negative media coverage and incorrect public perception. Bulawayo is most preferred place having industrial potential with emerging markets and trading discovery are major appeals for large business communities to take benefits from this place. A large pool of tourists visits Bulawayo every year via travelling in various airlines to see implausible cultural heritage along with traditional values and customs of this region. But outdated navigation system is not in favor of such travelling activities that will cause huge impact over tourism industry along with reduction in Economy as well.

Improvements in air traffic controllers is very necessary to boost economical condition of that region, on time flights with well equipped navigation system will bring investment opportunities of various airlines to commence their flights from this region as novel routes, as ATCAZ is part of International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers Associations (IFATCA) that is offering services for more than 50 000 air traffic controllers from over 135 countries worldwide. Efforts for improving navigation system in this region are very requisites to attract foreign traffic that will create revenues from APD of foreign airlines, advanced and modified air traffic controllers are excellent means of strengthen economical position of any country of world, the aviation department of Zimbabwe has also showed great interest to modify its air traffic controller equipment to boost aviation sector by avoiding delayed in flights.
