There are only a small handful of basic imagery elements that are always easy winners for outdoor killer shots. Water, autumn leaves and the perfect sky are three of them. For THE killer shot, whether still or video, use these three elements together to create the perfect blank canvas in which to insert your feature item, and you will win awards and make art directors cry. But there is no other way to capture the sky in full bloom as God puts all to bed for the evening. So, try shutting down the iris to a very small aperture value, and or speeding up and slowing down the shutter for different affects. The CP filter has little to no affect when shooting directly into the light source as it only works best on angles. Most shooters, whether pro or novice have some killer sunset and sunrise shots. The fall is a good time to capture these because the hot summer humidity has given way to the relatively cooler, dryer autumn atmosphere which makes for clearer shots.
