Getting married outside also means that you will then be able to hold the wedding reception in the same place, so decoration and area management will be doubly important.

Another advantage of outdoor marriage is that most outside locations are already ornamented to a certain extent, so your costs for flowers and other dcor will be lessened. You just have to make sure that everything fits, and you may want to add a specially decorated area for the wedding ceremony, to add focus.

One very important aspect is natural and artificial lighting. Consider from where the sun will be shining on the day of your outdoor marriage, and at what time it will set. Up to what time will you have enough natural lighting, and when will you have to use artificial lights?

Another important point is to consider the position of your guests during the outdoor ceremony in relation to the sun. Is the sunlight going to shine directly in their eyes, blinding them? In that case, but also if you expect that it will be very hot during your outdoor marriage, appropriate shades would be of order.

Do also consider the extra accessories that you may need to shield all the wedding participants against the elements. Sunshades are important in the hot weather, not only for the guests but also for the food, cake and beverages. Wind can be an especially pesky companion at an outdoor wedding. Make sure that everything is well fastened and secured during the wedding.

It's important to consider the impact of noise as well. Many splendid areas that suit themselves for outdoor marriage are not miles away from civilization, but next to a major road. If the spot of your dreams is like that, you will have to organize some sort of noise screen so that the guests can hear the ceremony and can ignore the engine noise.

Another very important thing is to think about guests whose ability to walk over uneven surfaces is limited. This applies to wheelchair-bound people of course, but also to the elderly, to overweight people and to the very young. Make sure than none of your guests will find it hard or impossible to reach the venue of your outdoor marriage.
