In 2008, a U.S. company sent a 33 Hot Rod's handmade wood windshield frame sample toPan Taiwan, a outsourcing company, for a quote. The car component maker wished to outsourcing a OEM manufacturer who can fabricate stainless steel windshield frame for them using integrated production technology (alloydie casting). Because aluminum's specific weight is only 1/3 of stainless steel, therefore, it is easier for polishing. The curve design of windshield frame would be sacrificed if aluminum alloy is used. Pan Taiwan'sreverse engineering process was implemented to complete the goal for making windshield frames that are easy to install, to polish, high yield rate and cost-saving. Taiwan Design, QC and outsourcing China OEM manufacturing collaborated to meet the goals. As a result, Pan Taiwan received lots of compliments and mass production was executed.

At the beginning, the buyer didn't want to compromise with the curve shape design of windshield frame, so they left for other resources. After a while, they came back to Pan Taiwan because there's no better solution for it. Aluminum alloydie casting technology is complicated and their frame design wasn't practical, therefore, consultation was conducted a few times. In the end they accepted Pan Taiwan's manufacturing and outsourcing concepts, and made the order. Since this automobile component manufacturer only had product sample,Pan Taiwan provided 3D design sketch and details so that it's qualified for mass production. After the design was confirmed, production started. At the beginning of windshield frame production, the job was assigned to various outsourcing OEM manufacturers for mould design and outsourcing manufacturing.Pan Taiwan ensured that every step was executed based on the standards and every outsourcing operation was reported to the buyer. Sample product was made in-time for the buyer to attend the exhibition and they received compliments from visitors. In the end, this automobile component car kit company owner started the mass product under Pan Taiwan's supervision and the whole thing was completed with 100% satisfactory. The U.S. company trusted Pan Taiwan'soutsourcing ability and technique profession; and they achieved their business prospects.
