have some problem with overclocking fsb help.

my system specs are as follows

Mob: Asus P5Q-SE

Mem: Kingston 2x2GB dual channel PC2-8500

CPU: C2Q Q9550 with an Arctic Cooler Freezer 7 Pro

Gra: Ati HD4870 factory OC

HD: 2 pieces, 1 IDE and 1 SATA II

PSU: Cooler Master Real Power 550watt SLI Ready 80 + rating

OS: Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit all updates and stuff ...

My system runs at a default FSB of 333Mhz. This results in a multiplier of 8.5 on a speed of 2.83 Ghz. Now I have my bios the fsb to 400 accelerated, the PCIE frequency to 100 and put down the memory at a speed of 800 Mhz running. I also have all the settings in the bios to auto left.my CPU automatically manage bios and my mem also but buy changing i am getting bosd

The memory voltage should be up to 2,1-2,2 V, and your cooler is not the world, what are your temperatures under load? in the bios may loosen up the timings of your memmory so check for that ,.Set the voltage of your CPU manually. Eg 1.35 V and see if that still gives a BSOD

How hot with a OC? That is important. I do not know exactly what the max temps are a c2q-C2D, If you OC a there are some factors that can play in there. make sure you willget enough Vcore, ,temperature of processor.. Your northbridge voltage gets too low or is too hot,(Lower your FSB and increase your multiplier, or increase the voltages and timings.)

If your temperatures are good you just forget the max vCore, if you're just sitting on the 1.096 Vcore can you immediately to 1.20v (in bios is even higher, going from what CPU-Z indicates that is more reliable than bios itself). I assume that with a 1.20 V (in bios is approximately 1.25) orhave a stable clock, If so, then increasing the voltage makes sense.
