Overview Of The Aie I-bar Shrink Wrap System
If you need to shrink wrap media, boxes, baskets and other material
, you may want to consider buying the most popular I-bar shrink wrap machine around, the AIE I-bar shrink wrap system. The AIE I-bar system, available at ABCOffice.com, is currently the most popular I-bar machine used today. There are many reasons for this.
To begin with, the AIE I-bar shrink wrapper can be used to package just about any CD, DVD, Blue-ray, box, basket or other object. These machines are currently available in 13", 18", 24" and 32" sizes (AIE-2012I, AIE-2018I, AIE-2024I, AIE-2032I). While the AIE systems arent designed for high-volume packaging, they can be used for light to medium-volume packaging needs, up to several hundred items a day.
All of the AIE I-bar shrinkwrap systems can be used with 500 and 2000 foot rolls (75 gauge PVC film) and they can all be3 used with Polyolefin and PVC film. This versatility makes these shrink wrap machines especially popular with video rental stores, video game shops, small production facilities, home use and much more.
All 4 of these systems are light enough to be used on most tables, desks and counters. The 13" model weighs in at 33 pounds shipped and the 32" model weighs in at 70 pounds shipped. They are also reasonably easy to pick up and move around.
All 4 of these AIE systems come with heat guns and a 500 foot roll of 75 gauge PVC film, which is basically everything you need to have to get up and going. Few comparable machines offer this many options. Not only do you get a heat gun, it is a 2-speed heat gun that includes a convenient holder.
The entire shrink wrap process takes just minutes to complete. Because these shrink wrap machines use centerfold film, only 2 total passes need to be made by the I-bar sealer. Simply place your product in the film, seal the right side and then flip it 90 degrees to the left and seal the other side.
Once a product has been fully encapsulated in shrink film, the heat gun can be run over it. Be aware that the heat guns put out far more heat than a standard hair dryer. As a result, film shrinks in a matter of seconds. Simply rotate the package until all sides have been shrunk. You dont want the heat to be on any one side for too long as damage may occur.
One thing many people dont realize is that the longer 18", 24" and 32" models can use smaller rolls of film. If youre not sure if the 13" model is big enough for everything, simply upgrade to an 18" and youre covered.
AIE products are known for being resilient, offering an excellent build quality and lasting for years. Replacement wire, pads and Teflon tape is readily available. You can find the
AIE I-bar shrink wrap system and ABCOffice.com. ABCOffice.com also offers a great selection of other I-bar and L-bar
shrink wrap machines.
