. For those unfamiliar with this workout routine, P90X is a rigorous home workout program, which claims to make you fit from fat over a thirteen-week period. The program aims to provide whole body fitness through a series of exercise routines designed to train each part of the body separately.

The P90X workout has been designed as a series of rigorous exercises, which work on the principle of muscle confusion. It combines aerobics, yoga, plyometrics, stretching and strength training into a 90-day routine. People after looking into the working of the program will be able to see that P90X is unlike any other program. People do not have to set up a home gym and follow several unscientific things to get into shape. The P90X program is a no-nonsense program which is completely based on scientific studies and researches. The program does not promise to do things to the body if the person just sits around.


One of the most important factors when trying to gain muscle is to lower your rep count while increasing your weight. You should be doing 6-8 reps and make sure you are using a weight that you will absolutely fail on the last rep. If you can only do 4 reps, take a few second break and try to do another 2-3. 12-15 reps should be done when your goal is to tone up and build lean muscle.


If you have been having problems losing weight and keeping it off it probably starts with the fact that you don't have a plan of action. The p90x system will allow you to look and feel great, burn belly fat and lose weight as part of a comprehensive plan of action that also includes nutritional advice. The nice thing is that you can do all of this from home with a towel, some basic workout equipment like dumbbells and/or resistance bands, a DVD player and pull-up bars.

P90x results pictures taken before the workout show clearly sagging muscles, especially in the abdominal areas; but within a month's time, you can feel the difference and the pictures show the toning of your abdominal muscles. You can also see your body fat slowly reducing and your muscles looking more firm and healthy.

While Audra had a good fitness level before she adapted to the p90x system, Tracy remains a strikingly opposite example. Tracy could not do even 4 push ups before joining the program. Today, she can handle 16 push ups at a time. Although 16 is not too impressive a number, yet it is four times of what Tracy could otherwise manage. Her leg lifts have seen a remarkable change and have increased from a meager 96 to 300 after the completion of her 90 day workout program.
