PC memory problems: how to recognize them
Memory is quick and easy to change, and as a result of buying new RAM is often the
increase in productivity, is one of the most updates performed on a PC.But things do not always go smoothly, and the RAM causes its fair share of heartache. Repeated Stop errors, crashes and other incidents may also be caused by the memory of duff.

Go to Memtest page, select Free Download and select the latest version of an ISO image. This will be downloaded as a ZIP archive, so go to it and double-click the file. Select Extract all files in Windows Explorer and then the wizard to extract the ISO file.
Use the free program to record CDs as well as CD Burner XP burn an ISO image to CD. Run the program and go to File> Write disc from ISO file, before finally passing the ISO image, and clicking Write to disk.

Memtest86 is very thorough and works outside Windows as you can be sure that youre checking the addresses of RAM, which can normally be occupied by Windows system components(and thus are likely to produce crashes.)
Starting continuous research for a few hours should ensure that after checking each address multiple times. The longer you run the test, the more accurate the results will be.
If you have reported bugs and have a lot of RAM modules, remove all but one and rerun Memtest86. Replace the other modules and re-test to confirm that is causing the problem. This will save you from replacing more memory than necessary.
Once you have identified a faulty module(s), you can start looking for replacements. The motherboard manual or computer documentation should tell you the specifications of RAM is needed, but useful documents is not always at hand.
memory specialist Crucial is a useful online tool to identify the type of RAM, what you need. You can use the scanner tool(if you use Internet Explorer and you do not mind about the system under investigation or the possible effects of privacy that may have it) or use their Crucial Memory Advisor product.
