Almost all software programs you install using the default installation usually decide that they should start-up every time Windows starts. How Can I Identify Which Programs Are Running In My Windows Startup?
You can use the "System Configuration Utility" (MSCONFIG) to locate and identify windows startup programs. Just go to the windows start menu, then run and type msconfig. Once displayed, click on the Startup tab and unticl the programs you want to stop running. Otherwise let a system scanner do it for you.
How Do I Prevent Programs From Running At Windows Startup?
There are a number of ways that programs can be disabled from running at startup. They all involve manually checking each program you don't want to run at startup:
1. The best way to proceed is to check and see if a program gives you an option to disable by right clicking on the currently running program in your system tray...many programs allow you to disable them this way.
2. Check the Windows StartUp folder:
