Got the PS3 ylod problem? This is one of the most common problem yet should be easy to fix. There are several ways to fix this problem.

This way might able to help you fix the PS3 YLOD

1st way

1)Turn off your Playstation 3

2) Unplug the the power cord

3)Remove the hard drive from your Playstation 3 after power cord is unplugged

4) Check to make sure it is not too dusty. If it is, vacuum the hard drive area (especially the connectors)

5)Install the hard drive back in the Playstation 3

6) Plug the power cord back in and turn on your Playstation 3

Sometimes loose hard drive is the reason for YLOD.If this is the case then this should be able to fix the problem. However if problem still persists, then please try the second method provided below.

1) Turn off your Playstation 3

2) Unplug the power cord and all cables connected to the Playstation 3

3) Plug all the cables and the power cord back in

The reason for this is to check for loose cables.This should help you fix the problem if it is because of loose cables. If problem still persists, then you have 2 options to get it fixed.

1) Fix the PS3 YLOD from Sony

You can call Sony and get them to fix the Playstation 3.

This should cost about $200 and a wait time of around 2-6 weeks.

However, as a Playstation 3 only cost $300 now, you might as well as buy a new Playstation 3 because Sony alsodoes not guarantee this problem will not arise again.

2) Fix the PS3 YLOD at home by yourself
