Keep all detachable cords, nuts and bolts in a zipped bag. You can easily find them when you need.

So, you need not take any additional safety. If you do not have those cartons, bring modular cartons from the movers shop. Also lock the doors of appliances before packing them.

Use bubble wrapper to wrap appliances properly. You can also use dishtowel, table clothes, old clothes, towel, etc for cushioning appliances.

Packing computer is a big task. You need to prepare the back up file before dismantling its parts for packing. Remove the CDs, DVDs and flash drive. Shut down the computer. Detach monitor, CPU, UPS, mouse and keywords. Pack these parts separately and keep them all in a big carton. Seal the box properly.
