This is important, because sometimes when opening a package the documentation on the box may become compromised. If there is a duplicate copy on the inside, they can usually help make sure that your delivery is still completed successfully.

When shipping breakable goods across a border, make sure they are packed in such a way so that they won't just fall out of the box when it is opened by the border agents. Otherwise you may find that your goods get broken if they happen to accidently fall when the package is being investigated. Wrapping the goods individually is one helpful way to avoid damage should the item itself fall from the package.
