. How much water has gone to sea is unfathomable. If this water was saved it might have helped in boosting the economy of Pakistan by providing electricity and water for irrigation. Only a little quantity could have been wasted if there were dams and barrages and lakes for storage of water. The countries and organizations which are in forefront to help the needy in this hour of trial and tribulations should think about this aspect too. The donors should make Pakistan to think about the permanent solution of this problem. Million tons of wheat, sugar cane, bales of cotton, and many precious lives would have been saved if the authorities thought before the time. This loss of trillion of dollars as the United Nations organization has evaluated have been reduced if there were some water storage system in Pakistan. If the government of Pakistan does not realize the importance of dames and storage system the water might devastate next time in the rainy season that comes every year in it. Flood in Pakistan has played havoc with the homes and hearths of the inhabitants. The people are the lookers on of their own destruction. The wrath of water has flooded their crops, extirpated their hearths and homes and sank their cattle as well as their fates. Water has ravaged the crops, animal and human beings alike. The death toll has reached to thousands while the loss of property has become immeasurable. The worst effected area is the agriculture. It is the back bone of economy of Pakistan. Maize, cotton, sugarcane and many other crops have gone to water. From Himalayas to Arabian Sea the soil the deluge has swayed everything. In this hour of trial and tribulations the army and other volunteers are doing their best to rehabilitate the people.
