Pakistan Outplayed Windies To Reach Semis
Pakistan are only away of two wins to be crowned World Championship. Pakistan defeated West Indies by 10 wickets and reached the semi-finals of ICC World Cup 2011.
The first quarter final match was happened between Pakistan and West indies on 23rd March at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka. West Indies played with their full strength as Chris Gayle and Kemar Roach made their comeback and Shivnarine Chanderpaul returned to strengthen middle order. Pakistan has one change they left of Ajmal Shahzad and went in with Saeed Ajmal. West Indies won the toss and decided to bat first.

Shahid Afridi once again tops the wicket column with four wickets. Shahid Afridi is the leading wicket taker in the tournament with 21 wickets. Saeed Ajmal and Mohammed Hafeez have taken two wickets each. Umar Gul and Abdul Razzaq ended up with one wicket each.
Pakistan came into bat to chase down 113 runs and to qualify for semi-finals. Pakistan has changed their opening combination, Kamran Akmal and Mohammad Hafeez started the proceedings. The opening batsmen have done the job without losing any wicket. Mohammad Hafeez has reached fifty with nine fours. West Indies bowlers has nothing to defend, the match was ended in 21st over. Windies bowlers bowled without any success and Pakistan batsmen scored runs in a brisk pace that ended match as 29 overs remaining.
Mohammad Hafeez was awarded with man of the match for his unbeaten 61 and two wickets. Pakistan will face today's winner of Australia and India match in semi-finals.
