Palace On Wheels A Royal Safari In Ranthambore Tiger Reserve

. This palatial luxury train in India takes you on a royal sojourn across the splendid landscapes and royal cities of Rajasthan, famous for its rich heritage, medieval forts and historical monuments, national parks and a magnificent bird sanctuary.

The Palace on Wheels takes you on a heritage ride of Rajasthan and the itinerary includes a regal expedition of 7 nights and 8 days. The journey begins every Wednesday from Safdarjung Railway Station, New Delhi and tourists are greeted onboard with a warm traditional welcome by the efficient staff of the train.

Around 300 species of birds, 30 species of mammals, and 15 species of reptiles add to the rich diversity of Ranthambore National Park. The forests of Ranthambore are tropical dry deciduous type containing over 300 species. Tiger safaris are organized twice a day inside the park and fall into two category: Jeep safari (6 persons) and Canter safari (20 persons). There are other packages as well which include bird watching tours.

After the royal safari in Ranthambore one can go shopping for toys, garments, jewelry and the artifacts which are specialty products of Sawai Madhopur. Upon returning to the Palace on Wheels you are treated with a sumptuous meal and the train then whisks you away to Chittorgarh in the evening, arriving there at 16:00 hrs.

At the end of the third day you will be left awe struck by the experience in the national park and the Chittorgarh fort.
