After configuration, these players not only at time 2 minutes, 0.5 seconds away from a contract, but only a DVD player, we play. Can any other DVD or Blu-Ray in the game total is the piece of junk. Great for your basic playing
I say great for basic play because I don't care about streaming or Netflix. I do have a life to run and mega video overload is not my goal. However this product is a snap out of the box install. Power in HDMI out to screen or reciever. Done... Picture for up conversion is awsome. Not sure I see the same problems others have. Don't use a cheap cable and you will not have any problems. Most issues Ive seen over time have been cheap cable problems blamed on the what ever unit is being used.
Suggestion: Mediabridge 9102X06B Ultra Series High Speed HDMI Cable
Blu DVD quality is of course wonderful but I'm just as happy with my retro DVD collection. Old DVD players used Composite in/out running retro DVDs with HDMI does add extra bandwidth. Colors are brighter and detail is enhanced from just more bandwidth.

The setup was very easy with ZyXEL WAP3205. No need to buy expensive Panasonic wireless adapter. It updated the firmware very quickly. I am enjoying Netflix, Youtube and yes Pandora too. I read many reviews that Pandora is not there but to my surprise I found Pandora after I updated the firmware. The Netflix quality is very good. I think you can enjoy the best quality with high speed internet, download speed of at least 5 mbps. It is recommended 6 mbps in the manual (p-22).
Pros : Good quality blue ray picture, good audio, Netflix, Youtube and Pandora. Got it very cheap at Amazon with $25 mail in rebate and fast shipping. I have not tried Amazon video on demand. Loading is very quick.
Cons: Does not play many home copied DVD and old vcd's. So, you have to keep your old DVD player. Up-conversion is average. Cannot switch off TV while playing Pandora otherwise it switch off this BD player.

I figured how to switch off TV while playing Pandora. It is a simple setup in my Pansasonic TV with Viera link. Please follow these steps on your TV remote.
1. Menu 2. Setup 3. Scroll Down and you will see 'Viera link' 4. Select 'Power off Link' option and change it to 'Off'. Default is 'Set'.
Now you can enjoy the Internet radio Pandora without wasting power.

The Panisonic DMP-BD65 is a superior Blu-Rayt player, ease of setup and went online and updated my firmware. From start to finish I was ready to watch my first disc in under 15 minutes. This will depend on your web connection and web traffic, but mine went very well, it took longer to download the software then anything else. For the price there is so much value and ease of use and the realative quick start feature is a bonus we can all appreciate. OH, yes I also activated the Netflix and my Amazon accounts as well and both work very nicely, I will most likely be storing my Roku as I do not need it any more.

Impressive Unit
I am pretty impressed with this Blu Ray player and its streaming (Viera Cast) capabilities. The unit is smaller than I expected and has an impressive picture via HDMI, the streaming quality is also good bearing in mind my relatively slow broadband 1.3 mb/sec speed.
Setting up this unit was as easy as other reviewers have suggested and, upon completing the firmware update, I watched a movie and also a streaming documentary via Netflix. The nice thing with this ability is that it frees up my laptop to check e-mails etc during whatever program I am watching.
Bearing in mind I have had pretty lousy experiences in the past with Panasonic DVD players and recorders, they finally seem to have gotten their act together!

Great Deal at a great price
Setup was effortless, the picture quality is outstanding. The connectivity to Netflix is excellent.
My only negative comment is that it takes quite a while to start up; 1-2 minutes, or at least it seems that long. Also, don't try to use this with a 720p set, it does not work well in that environment except for Netflix viewing where it is fine.

Great first impression
Just received this player after doing alot of research. Set up was a breeze. Firmware updated via ethernet connection, streamed a Netflix movie which was crystal clear and played through without a hitch. Blu ray discs are perfect. This player appears to be a solid choice for the features and price.

Panasonic made a good player
Overall, I am very happy with this player. I did want to get a player that I could add wireless later, so if I want to buy the adapter at some time, I can. Others now has this same player as this, but it costs less at this sight. This is a great player; the picture is what it's all about. I've had this unit for about 3 weeks now, my first Bluray player. I picked Panasonic because it seemed from all the reviews that Panasonic concentrates on the actual picture quality, rather on interconnectivity stuff, although they're no slouch at that stuff either. The picture quality, which to me is what it's all about, is virtually perfect. I believe it upconverts DVDs slightly better than my old Sony DVD player. The Bluray moviee I have watched have been just about perfect. Images are razor sharp and naturally brilliant, and I have a Samsung 55" LCD. Just remember, not every Bluray transfer is done with care, so pick and choose your purchases carefully. A good site is [...] for reviews. The set-up on this was ridiculously easy. Connect to my existing HDMI to the TV,and 2 RCA cables to the Denon AVR. I don't get that.
