Panasonic TX-L32S20B

Welcome to the product review for the Panasonic TX-L32S20B in the following article we will look at all aspects of this impressive LCD TV and give you our verdict to save you time. Firstly this model is not the newest on the market, its worth noting that as it has started to see a good reduction in its list price. Initially it started off at 650 and at the time of writing this article it had dipped to 590 which is quite a significant drop.

This model sits right in the middle of the range from this giant and is set up like typical models from this manufacturer. Firstly the basics, the Panasonic TX-L32S20B is a 32 inch set and is fitted with 1080p. It was launched just prior to the world cup to temp viewers with a good picture and functionality.

Like its main competitor Sony the design is less than flattering. Unlike Samsung and LG this manufacturer like Sony focuses more on the internal design and leaves the outer look. This has left this model looking quite basic and a bit plastic. This model isn't really eye catching for the price it demands however the internal equipment does make up for it.

There are two HDMI ports on the back of the unit and one on the side which is pretty basic for this size of TV, however three sockets is well enough for the majority of households. Along with the two SCART sockets there is a VGA and video port to add further devices. There is the more common USB socket which allows for the majority of external drives and cameras to be added.

The Panasonic TX-L32S20B does have an Ethernet point however the set doesn't support the Viera Cast Internet service, or network streaming. This whilst disappointing from the technical point of view won't make a massive difference to many people.

Obviously the Freeview HD tuner won't come as a surprise to anyone and as it is HD you can pick up the ever expanding range of HD channels that are being released. Another great addition is the Guide Plus which is like the Sky TV channel guide. Many Freeview boxes don't support this and it is a real great little extra.

Now where the Panasonic TX-L32S20B does really stand out is in the quality that it provides to its viewers. The colour production is excellent and easily stands head and shoulders above the majority of its competition. As essentially this TV is set up for HD obviously it performs best whilst in HD mode. However even when using the basic picture it does perform superbly well and it is way sharper than a lot of models on the market.

Sound wise this set is excellent, if you didn't know it was a 32 inch set you could easily think the sound production was coming from a much larger size. Again sound production won't make a huge difference to you unless you buy a really low end model, for the majority of viewers this set will exceed what you need it for.

So to sum up this is a great LCD TV if you are in the market for a 32 inch set. Whilst it is not the most handsome model on the market you know that when you buy the Panasonic TX-L32S20B you are getting real quality. The picture is excellent and the sound is not a disappointment either. So add this model to your shortlist and see how much you can save on a model.
