A few changes at Exeter Airport recently have sent passengers in a spin over pre-booked parking charges. It's not as bad as it may look though, lets have a look at the changes and how you can still grab a great deal.

From the 1st of January you cannot book car park 1 & 2 online, infact you cant pre-book at all meaning passengers have to pay gate rates (Some 60% higher than online prices) when looking to park up for their holiday.

This sounds terrible, it's not that bad though as there are more car parks located in and around the terminal than ever meaning its easy to grab a bargain!

For those passengers who love to compare (And who doesn't) Exeter Airport Parking Centre now offers a comparison search for all remaining available car parks: Long Stay 3 & 4, Flyparks and The Main Yard. Sure these car parks are a transfer bus away but the savings are typicably 30-40% off gate rates. And all these car parks are Park Mark approved so security and safety is not an issue. Even when dealing with independant operators.

A recent study actually shows Exeter Airport in a good light: Comparing Exeter with its nearest rivals Cardiff and Bristol shows Exeter slightly more expensive than Bristol but a good 30% cheaper than Cardiff on a all dates. Even when compared with Gatwick and Heathrow Exeter does come out on top, reasuring for any holiday makers traveling this summer.

There are a number of national companies comparing parking at Exeter too.
